Dissolved Air Flotation Clarifiers DAF Wock-Oliver's DAF , Dissolved air floatation clarifier has been widely used for industrial wastewater treatment. The typical industrial wastes treated by flotation are paper mill backwater, oily wastewater as well effluents from sugar, dairy, textile industries and tanneries. Sewage Treatment Plant(Conventional and Packaged type ) Domestic wastewater management system of any city consists of collection. Treatment and disposal. In conventional centralized sewage treatment system, about 80% of the cost is accounted for the collection. The cost of collection of sewage and its conveyance to the terminal point in the large cities is very high. Further, the depth of sewer goes on increasing with the increase of length of sewer line and pumping of the sewage at the intermediate and terminal points requires a lot of energy. In centralized treatment system volume of the sewage becomes very large and the distance of conveyance, as the sewage treatment plants are generally located outside of the cities, is very long. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Wock-Oliver’s Reverse osmosis separation technology is used to remove dissolved impurities from water through the use of a semi-permeable membrane. It is also one of the methods used to desalinate seawater. Reverse osmosis is used to purify liquids in which water is an undesirable impurity (e.g., ethanol). Municipalities and industrial facilities can use RO permeate as a consistently pure drinking water supply and to transform drinking water to high purity water for industrial use at microelectronics, food and beverage, power, and pharmaceutical facilities. The technology is also very effective at removing bacteria, pyrogens, and organic contaminants. ULTRAFILTRATION Ultrafiltration (UF) is a variety of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane. This separation process is used in industry and research for purifying and concentrating macromolecular (103 - 106 Da) solutions, especially protein solutions. Ultrafiltration is not fundamentally different from microfiltration or nanofiltration, except in terms of the size of the molecules it retains. Mostly, ultrafiltration is applied in cross-flow mode and separation in ultrafiltration undergoes concentration polarization. UF membranes typically have pore sizes in the range of 0.01 - 0.10 µm. The smaller the nominal pore size, the higher the removal capability. MBR / RBC / SBR Systems Membrane technology has led to a revolutionary new concept in wastewater treatment. Membranes act as a barrier to bacteria and suspended solids to produce a low turbidity treatment plant effluent with very low bacteria counts. MBR is the combination of a membrane process like microfiltration or ultra filtration with a suspended growth bioreactor. This very compact arrangement produces a MF/UF quality effluent suitable for reuse applications or as a high quality feed water source for Reverse Osmosis treatment Evaporators / Filter Press Wock-Oliver’s Filter Presses are used for the purpose of dewatering sludge and slurry produced in wastewater treatment, and chemical and mineral processing. Most wastewater treatment processes will produce sludge or slurry that is commonly disposed as a liquid waste. This sludge or slurry can be dehydrated in an Wock-Oliver’s Filter Press via a method called sludge dewatering. By using an Wock-Oliver’s Filter Press a reduction of up to 90% sludge volume can be achieved.
